More NATO drills on American soil…

Tucson, AZ – 20 anti-war protesters confronted the arrival of Colombian Air Force and Special Forces troops at a U.S- led military exercise near Tucson, May 4. The anti-war activists chanted, “Stop the U.S.-funded war in Colombia!” and “50 years of war is enough!”

The Colombian military came to practice under U.S. and NATO forces at Davis-Monthan Air Force Base. Outside the base, on a busy street corner, speakers denounced U.S. military intervention, the more than $8 billion spent by the U.S. government in repressing democracy and human rights, and the significance of the ongoing peace process between the revolutionary FARC and the Colombian government.

Lots of hippies and phreaks in Tucson.

Assholes supporting the narco-terrorist FARC.

The Colombians are mostly good people. I wonder if any of the protesters have actually been there?

These are the same type of putzs that used to show up every year at Ft. Benning and protest the School of the Americas, now called WHINSEC. The Soviets had a term for them, "useful idiots", apparatchnicks is another one. They are too stupid to realize that when the bad guys take over, they are the first ones to go.

There were weekly protests against the School of the Americas at the college I attended in the mid 90's - though most of the participants could not tell you what/where this "school" was.

On a side note, the only shot glass I have ever owned was a gift from a college buddy who returned from airborne school. It had the SOA logo and I always laughed when using it, thinking about the hippy protesters. This past winter my wife killed it in the garbage disposal.

I have delt with these types of idiots before. They don't let the facts get in the way of their hate and need to bitch about everything American. Are you talking about the protesters or the media & their string-pullers?

There is some soaw.org club at my college still. You would figure with the 230 schoolgorls captured in a foriegn country that has no capability to find them without U.S. help, lightbulbs would start to flicker. Im not holding my breath.

When I was stationed at Ft. Benning, these people would arrive in late October and start setting up shop. The protesters would always trot out such lefties as Pete Seeger, Joan Baez, Martin Sheen and Susan Sarandon. In one interview with the local newspaper, Pete Seeger repeatedly referred to blacks as "colored" people. One year Martin Sheen issued a proclamation as his character on The West Wing officially closing down the school. My fondest memory is getting into a conversation with a protester about one graduate that the U.S. had turned into a "murderer". Turns out his only course of study at SOA was a bn level motor officer course. The dreaded "psyop" course was another bone of contention with these fools. They never grasped that the students basically learned how to run a printing press and make leaflets. In their minds, "psyop" involved "mind control" and "torture". Some of the college students present even got class credit for attending. I could go on for a long long time.
