Feds reject driver licenses for illegals in California

California lawmakers are clashing with federal officials over the design of drivers' licenses for immigrants living in the country illegally, highlighting concerns about how to grant such permits while also making clear they do not confer legal status.

My main concern has always been that they drive without insurance. Got hit by one onetime and it was expensive for me.

Mojaveman you're right over the insurance, that is for anywhere they're at. Here in NC tho, it's just about 1-5 not having insurance.
