Alejandro Villanueva spent the past four years defending his country in the U.S. Army. Villanueva will now spend this offseason trying to make the Philadelphia Eagles' 53-man roster.
At 6ft 9in and 277lbs I'd say he has a pretty good chance of being a good defensive lineman.

How often does this happen? AD Ranger/QP/Seal/Recon/PJ gets out and goes to a pro sports team.
Very cool. I might take more of an interest.
Eagles going in 180 degree opposite direction of the Mike Vic/ DeSean Jackson route. I hope Villanueva makes the team.
That is quite a story and I hope he makes it too. It would be nice to have another positive role model in the NFL, not for the fans for the players.

It happens.
Back in the day I was scouted by the East German Female Volleyball team.
I didn't have enough testosterone.

Then there is no way you could have made the Chinese female swimming team...

Chad Henning flew A-10's for the USAF before playing defensive tackle for the Cowboys in the 90's.
More recently Caleb Campbell, a USMA graduate played for the Lions, Colts & Chiefs. I don't know his current NFL status.
