The original story was kicked around a bit when it first happened. The news story at the top kinda' ties it all together. The whole "casing cars" "stolen van" deal. But the grandmother makes a good point - if the kids would have gotten out of the van and bolted to their mom would the cops have shot them?

The Air Farce should just use drones. It would be safer and the drones are smarter than these idiots.

Was the license plate entered as stolen? By what agency? Was the correct state code used? Was the correct vehicle code {PC/TK/MC} used? I could sort this out with a phone call in less time than it takes to pull the people out of the car.

I know of a municipality that got the shit sued out of them when the dispatcher ran a plate for Officer Fife and told him it came back stolen. REAL crime in this one stoplight town. As he loaded his one bullet into the revolver, he prolly busted a nut. Same drill with elderly lady in a caddy. Of course, the "hit" listed the same plate number as inquired on, BUT on a motorcycle plate. OOOOPS. Pay this window said the 7th circuit.

SOME people shouldn't be allowed to have guns, much less badges, and I would fire the "supervisors" and "trainers", too.
