I've always thought that the Russians were a little backwards and I think this video proves it. I wonder if any of their operators have been accidently shot?

Wow:eek: Can anybody who knows say, are the Russians better shooters ? That is, are their ops more successful? This is stuff non SOF types would think CT teams do.
I think it being intentional makes it worse then an AD. Is there a way to embed videos here.

Interesting ND into the ground between his feet, and nothing was said. That would have been grounds for dismissal from an American unit.
I would expect a unit actually training with drills of this sort and at that experience level to experience a number of fatalities every year.

Somebody had translated that drill and supposedly he was told to "shoot the ground." I would hope. Doing a drill that intense and having a ND just shouldn't add up.

Why would they ingrain those sort of training scars on their soldiers? You might get away with having an AD into the dirt between your feet but I shudder to think what would happen if you intentionally discharged a round into concrete or the steel deck of a ship. Seems pretty stupid but then again a lot of the things the Russians do strike me as stupid.
So the Ukranian troops should be told first aim for the chest then duck left?
