Hey this is a bit in reaching, but open the full story and read. You just never can now today.
Maybe the NSA hacked it and made it blow up.
And why would we do that? It makes no sense.
As for the Tatarstan region, it has been an area with on-going "ethnic issues" for a number of years now - and combined with typical "Russian OSHA" industrial practices and...

It doesn't make any sense Richard why would we attack the largest refinery the in Europe which would ultimately I feel cause a spike in The prices the barrel oil.
You're right about the ethnic ethnic tensions in that region. The likelihood of being a result of something more of inadequately maintain refinery equipment. Which anyone that had seen a refinery have a fire started one end, it typically moves through out the refinery very rapidly.
Got to love the way this has made it a NORM in pointing out things that going down around the world are now the results of US involvement or manipulation due to our involvement over Iranian virus hacking incident.
Seems about as likely as the CIA spying on Senate committee staff members - and of course nobody in the WH knows anything about it.

Industrial accidents in Russia are not unusual.
And there are much more serious enemies of the Russian state than us.

...I've just been re-reading Red Storm Rising, in which events are precipitated by the destruction of the largest oil refinery in (at that time, the Soviet Union).

What if there really are no conspiracies and the government really is that stupid and inept?:eek::eek:
Considering Fast & Furious, they won't come clean on Benghazi, they outed Seal Team 6, used the IRS to come down on the competition, etc, etc.... there is nothing beyond this administration. The only real question was it planned or just stupidity on a grand scale.
