I currently work for a gov contractor and while at a job site today at a large coastal Southern California base, I came across a few cans of these.

They're single stack, not rock-in, 5-7 rd capacity, case is a loosie .308 from shooting last weekend.

Which firearm uses this particular magazine?

Thank you, gentlemen.

It looks like it's for a "Rimmed" Cartridge, like a .303 or 7.62x54R. Also, since it's a single stack, I'd say it's pretty old!!

Good call on the rim. It's not for an Enfield because it uses a retainer akin to an M4 or a SCAR instead of a notch on the back. Must be some Warsaw Pact weapon.

I suspect it's WW I vintage, maybe French OR it could be for a recoilless rifle spotting round, not unlike the M-40A1/M-8C??

I went to Reddit as a last resort, and those kooks actually figured it out. It's for a MK153 SMAW.
