I referred someone to the Guard and received 1000$. At the time, I saw how the system could be easily abused...

I helped bring down a testing fraud ring involving the local NG and USMC recruiters.

We had a Mobile Testing Site that gave the ASVAB. I started to notice kids that failed the ASVAB at MEPs were passing when they retook the test at the MET site.

Started interviewing the kids and found out that it Marines on recruiters assistance before their MOS school were coming home and taking the test for dummies that couldn't pass. Recruiter was paying the kid to take tests so he could make his quota. 13 year career down the drain because he just wanted to recruit the low hanging fruit.

Unfortunately, there are couple of NGSF guys from CO that have been charged in this scandal. I know them but don't know anything other than hearing their names in the news. I really hope they aren't that stupid.

Yep, I had CID call my house wanting me to come in and answer a few questions about my Guard Recruiter. Well long story short, I don't think my Recruiter was on the up and up, because he (CID) asked me if I had known so and so and if so and so had helped talk me into joining the Guard.
