I think they went above and beyond. If someone were to knock at my door and said they were hungry I'd feed them. I hope most "Americans" would do the same thing. (Note to self, go get a chick -fil-a sandwich tomorrow.) ;)

what?! I thought Chick-fil-a was racist/homophobic!
Wonder if they gave out the sandwich to everyone despite race/color/religion/sexual preference...

On a serious note, I love their advertising with the cow.

OUTSTANDING! :)

“At one point there were more people walking than driving,” she said.

Some of the drivers had been stuck in their cars for nearly seven hours without any food or water. So the staff of the Chick-fil-A decided to lend a helping hand.

“We cooked several hundred sandwiches and stood out on both sides of 280 and handed out the sandwiches to anyone we could get to – as long as we had food to give out.”

The staffers braved the falling snow and ice, slipping and sliding, as they offered hot juicy chicken breasts tucked between two buttered buns. And Chick-fil-A refused to take a single penny for their sandwiches.

The meal was a gift – no strings attached."

We were out and about today and stopped at a Chick-fil-A for lunch. It was very good. We also patronized Hobby Lobby today as well. Great to see this story.

MR2 Sir,

Indeed, they do have a tasty chicken sandwich going, and HL is a favorite of my sis...as well as Mardels, as they have great old fashioned greeting cards.;)

(Also they are in a Supreme Court battle against Obama care.)

Good news story, especially amidst the chaos of todays soceity in AMerica.

My wife is in Atlanta on business and has been caught up in the wintery mess there, too. When we talked tonight, she told me that communities lining the I-285 corridor came out on the roadway and gave food, water, coffee, etc to motorists stranded on the highway. Human nature.

And so it goes...

Thank you for the link to that FoxNews article. It makes me think that maybe there is hope for humanity after all, when a bunch of Chick-Fil-A restaurant employees - including the owner - lived what they believe just because they saw a need. (Pay it forward, anyone?)

Great story, but this was a an individual owner/manager undertaking not a corporate decision/policy.

Mmmmmmm Popeye's..... Good on the owner of that Chick-fil-A. It's nice to see Americans helping each other in times of need.

Some citizens stepped up and did the right thing. The Mayor and Governor...not so much.
I used to enjoy the occasional Chik-fil-a sammich when I lived within a days march of one. Good waffle fries too.

I love Chick Fil A. They are a great business. And the best Vanilla Shakes ever. Good for them.

And I do love Hobby Lobby too!

And with the local school's "Power Card" you can get a free sandwich with your combo meal.

Power Card - Most private schools in our area sell power cards for fund raising - $20 each. Size of a credit card and on the front/back they have the businesses that support them - with the discount. Chick-fil-a is the free sandwich with a combo meal, Texas Road House is a free Cactus Blossom, Mi Casita is $5 off $50 meal, etc, etc.

This year's card is good through September - then you buy a new one.

A few trips to a couple of the places and you've made your money back.
