View Full Version : Super Bowl 48: Denver and Seattle
Classy guy, that Richard Sherman.
WTF was up with that post game interview ???
If he is any indication of how Seattle REALLY plays, then we've (Denver) got this game in the bag.

Concur, certainly a different image than the one above. Sportsmanship should be a part of any game... :lifter
So would that make this the... Pot Bowl?

Pot Bowl ....
Bud Bowl ....
Weed Bowl ....
What ever it's being titled as, they'll be playing on grass. :munchin
WA - CO ==> Stupor Bowl - like whatever, man. And I'd wager there won't be any lane closings in NJ for this one.

The first time the Seattle Seahawks were in the Super Bowl (2006), I was in Iraq living in a team house outside the wire several klicks from FOB Warrior (Kirkuk Airbase). Call sign was Texan Base. The Pesh Merga held the perimeter as half the ODA gathered before the TV at around 0300. The others either didn’t care about football, or didn’t have a dog in the fight (must have been 49ers fans). Plus sleep was at a premium as operations ran around the clock. We never saw the multi-week long pre Super Bowl hype. Didn’t need it. No group can trash talk like a bunch of unwashed football fanatic SF guys.
This wasn’t the typical Iraq Super Bowl experience where hundreds of military personnel gathered in massive chow halls. This was just us, a few guys living off the grid, gathered around a kitchen table in one of Chemical Ali’s former palaces. I was for the Seahawks. Everyone else was for the Steelers. I was their rater, the boss. I wrote the evaluations that could make or break their careers. They didn’t care. My team lost. They rubbed it in my face. I loved every second of the experience. And I love those guys.
If the Seahawks win today, it will be my second favorite Super Bowl memory.

GO BRONCOS!
It is going to be an epic game. Denver offense will work over the Seattle Seahawks defense and turn turning it into a win for United in Orange. Denver 27 Seahawks 21.
Payton Manning will be the first QB to win the Super Bowl with two different Teams!!!
Ready ready..
Omaha Omaha!!!
GO BRONCOS!!!!
Denver's first play from scrimmage, Manning meant to say: "OMAHA" but all that came out was "O SH*T" , Denver may be in trouble.

The fat lady is back stage warming up for her a cappella performance
Looks like Denver's hopes went up in smoke! They'll need a little THC, er, uh, TLC when they get home. :p

That's got to be one of the worst Superbowls I've ever watched. :(
Great Game for a Seahawks fan!!!!!!!
Great day to beat up on our former AFC West rivals....
That's got to be one of the worst Superbowls I've ever watched. :(
Yes it was.. I figured with two number ones, it would be a better and closer game.

The best thing I saw in this game were the commercials for 24. Jack Bauer and Chloe are coming back in May... tick...tick...tick :lifter
That's got to be one of the worst Superbowls I've ever watched. :(
I stopped watching after the first :12 seconds of the third quarter. Even the commercials sucked. The only one I liked was the Radio Shack spot.
Thank God the Puppy Bowl was on Animal Planet. It didn't disappoint. :D
Not that it's a total loss, at least some people on the planet are happy the Broncos lost ....

May Introduce you to the new ENVER Broncos, the only difference is there is no "D". :D
Seems they left their "O" at home too...
The only good thing about that Super Bowl was the flyover by the 101st Airborne Division helicopters.
I'll bet the CH-47's had the stadium thumping when they were directly overhead.
Not that it's a total loss, at least some people on the planet are happy the Broncos lost ....
The meme's sure have been flying today :D

I'm not much of a sports watcher but I was definitely cheering for the seahawks. Both teams deserved to win but I'm glad seahawks won!!

That the first score in the 1st and 2nd halves happened 12 seconds in. In an interview on the Seattle ESPN station today, Pete Carrol gave credit for the safety to the twelves.
