Okay so with the increase in the photo sharing app growing so rapidly. Let's just throw out Governor Weiner scandal. The use of teen and Tweens and young adult, hell adults for that matter. Most are using these apps because of there “self-destruction” feature, some teens and tweens think it is a safe way to engage in sexting. When will people learn that there are no safe ways to engage in sexting! Recipients can share pictures with others or use a screen capturing app to retain a copy of Snapchat pictures. Which seems to be the newest pedophiles thing. We have many long standing social media platforms going to these “self-destruction” features. The biggest are Twitter and Facebook also offers its users a Snapchat-like mobile applications. With Facebook's being Fakebook Poke with essentially the same features.

So my issue is, when will the Indrustry catch up with the fact that these are not being used for what they say or think they are set up for. Look at Kik app, it is reported that teen and Tweens use it for sexting and dating. Teens are sending nude selfies to one another through the app. I guess Dick Clark made up the term Teenager, but it seems that teens using this app have made their own term for sex buddy - replaced with Kik Buddy. Another App used by Teens is Reddit. This one kills me. Reddit is like a craigslist or another forum sites to place classified ads for sex by giving out their Kik usernames. Got to love how teen learn that they can post a Reddit add by linking it with their Kik app. The reason is that kik does not offer any parental controls. Additionally, with most of these newer Apps, there is no way of authenticating users thus making it easy for pedophiles to using these apps. Now throw in all these new Social App that have links to GPS location and check-ins. Now you have the ability to be cyber and physically stalker.
So back to my questioned, we is the line draw? If the makers don't care about them or the Apps uses. Or as reported that SnapChat was created as a “safe” sexting app. So if the FCC guarantees that a text is a private exchange between two devices and it takes a search warrant to access peoples texts.
If you are a parent and have Tweens, Teens or College kids you should read this. If you are a educator you need to educator yourself. Sorry to say it, but with cyberbullying and teen suicide. Pretty sad what kids think is kool nowadays.
