Did we miss this, or do I need to strengthen my search-fu?

Merrill Newman was part of U.S. Army 8240th Unit, running Kuwol Partisan Regiment during the Korean War. Back in October, at age 85, he went back to North Korea as a tourist and was snatched from his outbound flight, moments before takeoff.

US war veteran Merrill Newman released by North Korea

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-asia-25274840

"North Korea has released a US veteran of the Korean War who had been detained in the country since October.

State news agency KCNA says Merrill Newman was expelled on "humanitarian grounds" after confessing to "crimes" in the 1950-53 war and "apologising".

Mr Newman, 85, had been held on charges of "hostile acts" against the North, while visiting as a tourist............."

&

"...But Mr Newman's family said there must have been "some dreadful misunderstanding".

Another veteran, also named Merrill Newman, was awarded a Silver Star medal for his efforts during the Korean War. ...."

So which Newman is the real Newman? Bet it comes out before too long.
