.... Eric Holder.

Been hearing rumblings about this lately.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out. :munchin

A group of fed-up House Republicans, who say they are tired of being stonewalled by Attorney General Eric Holder, plan to formally introduce articles of impeachment on Thursday in a bid to remove the nation’s top law enforcement officer from office.

Several GOP congressmen have been drafting articles of impeachment over a number of controversies relating to the U.S. Department of Justice. The lawmakers’ grievances include Holder’s refusal to turn over documents relating to Operation Fast and Furious, the DOJ’s habit of selectively enforcing federal laws, and the department’s refusal to prosecute IRS officials who allegedly accessed confidential taxpayer information, among other things.

The articles of impeachment also accuse Holder of providing false testimony to Congress, which is a “clear violation” of the law.

CHARGES OF IMPEACHMENT AGAINST ERIC HOLDER:

The Articles of Impeachment lay out four charges:

1.Refusal to comply with the subpoena issued by the Oversight Committee regarding Fast and Furious. This violates 2 U.S.C. 192

2.Failure to enforce DOMA, the Controlled Substances Act, and the Anti-Drug Abuse Act of 1986. This violates the AG’s oath of office.

3.Refusal to prosecute the IRS officials involved in the targeting and disclosure of tax records to political donors. This violates Mr. Holder’s oath.

4.False testimony under oath before Congress in May 2013 about the Justice Department investigation of journalist James Rosen. This is a violation of 18 U.S.C. 1621.

And the Senate will do what?

I'm not so sure they won't do anything. With their generic poll numbers falling in advance of next years election there at at least 10 Democrat Senators with their backs against the wall and Impeaching Holder is an easy for them to defy the administration without really having to do anything. They'll just turn around and rubber stamp his replacement.

And the Senate will do what?LOL; not much, they're probably busy rubber-stamping the newest lacke... I mean administration nominee for DHS secretary.

If those articles make it down the street, I'd like to see them have the opportunity to flush it, all on CSPAN. What else of substance would they have to do? Then again...

"What, at this point, does it matter?"

The way the current batch of GOPstone-Cops do business theywill most certainly find a way to turn an impeachment of AG Holder into a solid democratic victory.

They have half-assed everything else they have started this year... why stop now?

The GOP has world class talent at snatching defeat from the jaws of victory.
