"The uniforms show what to some look like blood stains on a flag. Northwestern spokesman Paul Kennedy said Monday it's a "distressed pattern on both the stars and stripes that was inspired by the appearance of a flag that has flown proudly over a long period of time" and apologized "for any misinterpretation."

They are hearing from me also. Too many universities abuse this issue.
Jim Phillips is the Vice President for Athletics and Recreation I could not locate his email, however his Administrative Asst. is Anne M. Adams and her email is:
annemarie.adams@northwestern.edu

I understand that this is an incorrect use of the flag. However, there's a lot of things to get up in arms about and personally I'm glad to see them still thinking of the military at the collegiate level. On top of that supporting Wounded Warrior is a good cause though I wish it was the GBF or SOWF because they need the exposure.
