I used to like the Iowa Hawkeyes but after last years 4-8 record I made up my mind to never get my hopes up again, kind of like being a Cubs fan I would imagine. Saturdays results vs. Northern Illinois reminded me of the following quote. " I had the lowest of expectations and I am still disappointed." Iowa really sucks but the coach is well paid at 3.65 million per year.

Alabama is like a pro team. I read an interview of a Mizzou player recalling last year's game with Alabama. He was a linebacker, trying to beat a Bama left tackle. Tackle was about 6'6", weighed about 340. Linebacker couldn't get by him all night.

He won't. His temper is too bad and he believes he deserves everything. Runs in the family. Good football player but he is in it for himself. Doesn't care about A&M at all. He's a punk. I live in an area with A LOT of A&M alumni. They are all embarassed by his actions and hope he goes away.

I'm not sure who these alumni are that you are hanging out with but neither I or any of alumni I know want Manziel to go anywhere. Would we like to see him mature? Yes. Am I embarrassed that a 20 year old Heismann winner talked a little trash during a game? Hardly. I would like to know how you would know that his "bad temper" and "entitlement complex" run in the family and if your statement that he is a punk is anything more than your opinion.

Mizzou is just out of their league. I think it was a mistake for them to join the SEC.

I am not sure that I would call 212 total yards, 50 rushing yards, 162 Passing yards, and 1-11 on 3rd downs 'dynamite'....

I would call Florida's 6 turn overs with 5 in Miami territory and 70 yards of penalties the equivalent of dropping your dynamite down your pants....

You mean a promotion to Dodd's old job. Then instead of blaming failure on his ACs he can fire coaches that dont run his playbook. Think Jerry Jones at the college level.

It's my pleasure to bring to your attention an opportunity for your veterans
to receive complimentary tickets for the 2013 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl
(BHAFB) Game, being held at the Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth, Texas on
December 30 2013. I am seeking your assistance in getting this message out to
those veterans and service personnel with whom you are in contact.

Bell Helicopter is one of our more than 5,000 Vietnam War Commemoration
Commemorative Partners, and they have graciously offered complimentary tickets
to this annual televised event. By visiting their web site --
http://www.armedforcesbowl.com/armed-forces-ticket-request, veterans and active
duty personnel can request complimentary tickets. This event is also posted on
our Vietnam War Commemoration website -- www.vietnamwar50th.com .

The Armed Forces Bowl was inaugurated in 2003. Fort Worth-based Bell Helicopter
took over sponsorship in 2006 as the post-season intercollegiate football game
became officially known as the Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl. As the
official bowl game that honors all branches of the United States armed forces,
Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl is owned and operated by ESPN Regional
Television, Inc. (ERT). The game has been televised annually on ESPN since its
inception with radio coverage provided the past seven years by ESPN Radio.

This is a wonderful opportunity to thank our veterans for their service and
sacrifice and I hope that you can assist us with getting to the veterans and
service members in your network. Representatives from the United States of
America Vietnam War Commemoration will be in attendance and we are looking
forward to seeing and meeting Vietnam veterans and their families at the game.

And as always, many thanks for your assistance and support to our veterans and

Auburn is tough. I'm sure Florida State is good, but there is a huge gulf between the ACC and the SEC.

Auburn just knocked off Alabama and Mizzou. The triple option offense they run is extremely hard to defend, especially with all the athletes they have. Not to mention that offensive line gets a 3-4 yard push every play.

Points well taken. Auburn's victories over Mizzou and especially 'Bama were impressive to say the last, though I've had the sinking impression that the Crimson Tide were just a little overrated this season compared to years past. I don't think it will be a low-scoring game either way. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if the final tally is somewhere in the ballpark of 41-38. Auburn won't win if they can't establish and maintain the ground game, and FSU will fail if Winston has a bad day. Should be a great game either way! :munchin

Auburn's defense is a bit suspect, especially the secondary. FSU is going to have a hard time stopping Auburn's rushing attack. I predict a high scoring affair with Auburn's ability to control the clock giving them the edge in the end.

Johnny Manziel is just flat fun to watch.

Did not realize Duke was for real after FSU easily dismantled them.

No. 24 Duke vs. No. 21 Texas A&M
Chick-fil-A BOWL

48-45 Duke at the moment with about 5 minutes left on the clock...it's a shoot out...don't count Manziel out yet.

Wait...interception...pick 6 and the Aggies lead. Damn !

That guy is tougher than nails, he really makes things happen. In the end the D won the game which may have been a good thing for Johnny, he did not have to put the winning points on the board, not that he couldn't have.

You guys are crazy if you think Auburn is putting up more than 40 on FSU. I'd say 32 at most, and that includes them getting points off turnovers or points on a short field from FSU mistakes.

Regardless, if FSU plays a perfect to semi-perfect game, FSU is going to win, by a lot - maybe drop at least 45 points. Even if their offense sputters, their D is insanely good and fast. They're incredibly balanced.

The only way Auburn wins if FSU has too many costly turnovers. That's it.

Now I will note Auburn seems to be a team of destiny. And I will give them credit with their wins over Alabama and Missouri. They seem to be playing better each week. However they have been incredibly lucky to be where they are. Alabama dominated most of the game and was clearly the better team. If Alabama had made one of those missed field goals, it'd be Alabama - FSU. We don't even need to go there with that last second catch against Georgia.

However, FSU seems to be a team on a mission and incredibly focused. They don't talk crap, they've executed week in and week out on both offense and defense, and besides the whole false rape accusation, they've had no incidents off the field. Say what you want about their schedule. Even the greatest teams in college football have at least one game where they played down to their competition; FSU never did. They dominated on both sides of the ball every game.

And oh yeah, the last two times FSU had Heisman winners, they won the National Championship. I'll leave with that…..

Ultimately, you're right. And we can also note UCF was a huge underdog to Baylor and spanked them pretty good.

However, Oklahoma played a well executed game and Alabama had too many turnovers, hence, I still stand by what I said - The only way Auburn wins is with too many FSU turnovers. :)

Kudos to the Sooners for their last minute win and how about those Spartans 17-0with 8 minutes left in the first half but too early to call.

Last minute win??????????? OU took the lead with @ 2:59 of the second quarter....Bama never caught up with them after that.

FYI WCH, my quote dealt with OU's Big 12 championship which was a heckuva win nearly a month ago. They just had another heckuva win. The better team won the Sugar Bowl no denying that!

Well, looks like I was correct.

So gents, what happened to Auburn putting up over 40? I give Auburn IMMENSE credit though, especially their D. They really brought it HARD.

What a game!!!

Great game.. Auburn defense got tired during the 4th quarter. They had a lack or weak coverage where earlier they had tight coverage. I think those last four minutes of play time they just got tiered and lost the game because of it.

Seminoles deserve to be 2013 National Champion for having a perfect season.
