Woman opens fire on group of robbers at Denny's (http://www.click2houston.com/news/woman-opens-fire-on-group-of-robbers-at-dennys/-/1735978/21394538/-/3f3c2c/-/index.html)

His brother's wife was in the restroom at the time, but when she exited the restroom she saw the group of suspected robbers. Police said that's when she pulled out her gun and shot at them.

Good for her! Maybe spend a little more time at the range in order to save money on the trial, but still a good thing.

Why am I not surprised this happened in Texas?

Yes, of course I love these stories of self defense, but I love the comments even more! Basically 2 or 3 anti-gunners vs. the pro-self defense mob! The only argument they could come up with was that the robbers "probably wouldn't have shot anyone, so that doesn't justify shooting at them, therefor escalating the situation."

They were summarily eaten alive with logic.

Odd thing is, all the Denny's I've seen around here (Northern Texas) are anti-CHL with big ol 30.06 signs on the door. FYI...30.06 is the Texas law/code that makes places off limits to CHL carry.

Then again, if it is signed, I don't buy the story at all - it's a fabrication because everyone knows that criminals would've checked out that sign first.
