Couple the original post with commanders not being able to overturn improper court-martial convictions* and the UCMJ may literally turn into the thought police, er, thought army. How long until going to a strip club while enlisted becomes a "crime?"

For some reason that link isn't opening but I am familiar with the 2005 Executive Order 13387 spelling out the elements of the "crime" and the attendant punishment.

You don't think there's a huge difference between asking a woman for casual sex or flirting with a co-worker versus helping traffic sex slaves? And since you think the above-referenced "trafficking in persons" UCMJ statutes are relevant to the link I posted, do you think going to a strip club while enlisted should fall under the 2005 UCMJ reg?

If Congress takes away Command authority in this instance you will start a trend that may have 2nd and 3rd order of effects that will be huge.
Either you have Command authority or you do not.
Either you have trust and confidence or you do not.
There is no middle ground.
When our warrior culture is exposed, re exposed and beaten down by PC agenda's what will be the end result.
Another Euro Peace keeping force with unions, advocates, and a reluctance to close with and kill our enemies.

You actually support this stuff? Look I've prosecuted sex crimes and it's nasty business. It's a slap in the face to any rape or molestation victim to equate having a consensual affair or looking at gyrating nude women paying for medical school with their plight.

Yes, I know technically having an affair is a military no-no. But these rules were written a long time ago and don't take into consideration modern wives gaining 100 lbs of fat during their husband's deployment or the amount of females having affairs. Do MPs back on base police the wives? What about unmarried soldiers? They shouldn't be allowed to try to fornicate with females off-base? Pickup lines are now verboten?
