Medium frying pan, medium heat.

Add 2 tbsp butter or margarine.

Add 3 tbsp crumbled bacon.

Add 1/2 cup chardonnay.

Sprinkle liberally with onion powder (or add 1 tbsp finely chopped onions).

Bring to slight boil and stir well.

Fill pan with green beans -- ends chopped off and cut to bite size.

Saute on low heat, stirring frequently, until done. You want them cooked but still crunchy.

You may need to drain them a bit when removing from the pan!!

Sounds good. I sautee asperagus as well, and will try your recipie! Normally I have just used some olive oil, splash of white wine, fresh chopped garlic, parsley and salt/pepper.

RL, I'm trying your green beans tonight.

We like to do fresh spinach sauteed with crushed garlic in a little olive oil, with a little kosher salt thrown in at the end.
