2/20th SFG(A) 50th Anniversary Reunion

The 2nd Bn., 20th SFG(A) will be hosting a celebration to comemorate the 50th Anniversary of the unit's founding. The event will be held on 7 September 2013 at Keesler AFB in Biloxi, MS. The highlight of the Anniversary Reunion will be a formal "Dining Out" at one of the clubs on base. SFA Chapter 79 (SGM Brian F. McKnight Chapter) has partnered with the Bn. to host the event. All current, former members and friends of 2/20 are invited to attend. The tentative cost per attendee is $35.00 which will include a comemorative plate and wine glass. More details will be provided as they become finalized, including contact and reservation information.

Great! I'll get you put on the snail mail list, too. It's going to be a blast.
I'm over in Afghanistan now and was able to retrieve a Memorial Plaque for SFC Chris Robinson, which I'll bring to the 2/20th SFG(A) 50th Anniversary Reunion. If you have any new information on location and DTG, please post.

Hoping to be there as well... Was never in 2nd BN however I owe a few beers and that timeframe seems as good as any to drink a few from my socket.... :D

Crip and Dave, we look forward to seeing you guys! The beer is on me. Dave, it will mean a lot for you to bring that plaque back. Chris's widow will be there. She has remarried to a great guy that was hit in the same engagement that killed Chris. Crip, there's a bunch of guys looking forward to meeting you. The date/time above is firm. I've covered you two's fees, so just show up. You do have to dress nice, (tux or suit) but you don't have to act nice! I'm sure I won't!
The following is an update for the 2/20th SFGA 50th Anniversary Reunion:
The deadline is July15th, for RSVPs. The price per individual is $35.00. Dress for the occasion is formal wear.
Past members attending are allowed one guest and the guest must be an adult due to the nature of the event.
There are two meal choices to choose from:
ALPHA Meal: Sliced London Broil Au Jus with Roasted New Potatoes, Roasted
Vegetables, freshly baked rolls with butter and Chocolate Mousse
BRAVO Meal: Roasted Stuffed Chicken Breast with Mushroom Gravy, Rice Pilaf,
Roasted Vegetables, freshly baked rolls with butter and Strawberry Shortcake
The Event will be held on Saturday, 7 September 2013 at the Bay Breeze Club

IDK, TF. I was wondering the same thing. I will ask CPT Crosby if it is possible to put on some static displays or dog and pony shows for us older guys that think Gore-Tex, Polypro and 2 quart canteens are cutting edge stuff. They have put on such at past reunions. Runt wants the 82nd ABN Glee Club to sing, but I told him that just because DADT is gone, you don't have to go completely gay. Otherwise, things are good.

The reservations at the Keesler Inn can be made 7 days in advance, instead of the customary 3 days advance. Be advised that they are space available. So 31 Aug make your reservations!
