3 NOV, 8 P.M. "60 MINUTES (WEDNESDAY)" G.I. ATTACKED DURING TRAINING

Description: Last year, Baker was working as a military policeman in the Guantanamo Bay prison when other MP's injured him during a training drill, a drill during which Baker was simply obeying orders. Correspondent Bob Simon talks to Baker, his doctor and members of the 438th Military Police Company in Murray, Ky., for an exclusive report.

Note: An upcoming episode of "JAG" is based on this incident.

4 NOV, 8 & 11 P.M., DISCOVERY WINGS, "HALO: FREEFALL WARRIORS - PARTS 1 & 2"

Description: Elite forces have embarked on month-long training for parachute freefall known as HALO-high altitude low opening. Follow recruits through ground school where they practice freefall maneuvers in the vertical wind tunnel. (two hours)

5 NOV AT 1:30 A.M. AND 6 NOV, 7:30 P.M., IFC (INDEPENDENT FILM CHANNEL) "SOLDIERS PAY"

Description: Originally shot by director David Russell as an extra for the special DVD release of his film "Three Kings," "Soldiers Pay" was later removed at the studio's request. "Soldiers Pay" presents viewpoints on the war in Iraq from all sides of the spectrum, including veterans, Iraqis who rose up against Saddam after the Gulf War, journalists, politicians, psychologists and a two-star general who led the U.S. Marines to victory in the Gulf War.

Support denied. Did not support production of the movie. Director stated he wanted the documentary to influence the election.

6 NOV, 10 P.M., DISCOVERY TIMES, "AMERICA'S SECRET SOLDIERS"

Description: One of the primary forces against the threat to international stability is a classified US military force known as Special Operations Command. SOCOM's 44,000 commandos operate in an environment requiring expertise beyond traditional combat missions.

Description: In this exciting episode of "War Stories with Oliver North," you'll hear from five Army soldiers who survived "Operation Torch." And you will go inside the secret world of spying in the lands from Cairo to Casablanca.

10 NOV, 8 P.M., PBS, "ARLINGTON NATIONAL CEMETERY" [Premiere]

Description: Once little more than a potter's field, Arlington Cemetery has become a national shrine and a treasury of American history. Both the famous and the obscure are buried here, from John F. Kennedy and the Unknown Soldiers to astronauts from the space shuttle Challenger, polar explorers Peary and Henson, and some 3,000 freed slaves. On the 140th anniversary of the first burial at Arlington in May 1864, National Geographic presents a portrait of one of America's most sacred places. Viewers take a privileged behind-the-scenes look at the intense daily rituals and activities of a military cemetery, through rare archival footage and the real-life stories of the heroes and heroines buried here. They also meet the people who make the cemetery work, defining it with their service.

Description: The one-hour documentary recounts through dramatic military film footage, recreations, and personal interviews with survivors and family members how a Catholic priest, a Jewish rabbi, and two Protestant ministers removed their life jackets for others, and spent their last moments praying, arm-in-arm, as the U.S.A.T. Dorchester went down.

10 NOV, 10 P.M. HISTORY CHANNEL, "MODERN MARVELS; SURVEILLANCE" [Premiere]

Description: With advanced surveillance technology, there's virtually no place to hide. We'll examine some of the most important and potentially terrifying equipment the world has ever seen...or rather, not seen...in this thriving surveillance revolution. We check out parabolic microphones that pick up conversations a mile a way, cameras that learn what and who to photograph, RadarVision that "sees through walls", and Uninhabited Aerial Vehicles (UAVs).

11 NOV, 9 P.M., HBO, "LAST LETTERS HOME" [Premiere]

Description: A poignant tribute to the fallen American soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the war in Last Letters Home: Voices of American Troops from the Battlefields of Iraq, read by the families of ten men and women killed in action. These readings are accompanied by emotional remembrances and insights from grieving wives, mothers, fathers, children and friends, and punctuated by photos supplied by the families as well as The New York Times, which produced the documentary with HBO in association with LIFE Books.

NOTE: HBO has asked its cable tv providers to open the access to HBO to all of their viewers so that even those who don't subscribe to HBO can watch this production.

12 NOV, 7 P.M., HISTORY CHANNEL, "MODERN MARVELS: BATTLEFIELD ENGINEERING

Description: Meet some of the most important, yet least-recognized, warriors--the battlefield engineers who lay the groundwork for oncoming conflicts. We'll cover combat engineering from ancient Rome to modern-day Iraq, and take a look at the "Next Big Thing".

15 NOV, 7 P.M., HISTORY CHANNEL, "MODERN MARVELS: M1 ABRAMS"

Description: Join us as we penetrate the history of the world's most sophisticated tank--the M1 Abrams Main Battle Tank. In the most radical departure in U.S. tank design since WWII, the Supertank combines speed, heavy protective armor, and a fearsome 120mm main gun. In 1991, the new and unproven Abrams tank was deployed in Operation Desert Storm. Using night vision and laser targeting, the M1 Abrams tank destroyed Saddam Hussein's armored Republican Guard, and is again doing desert duty in the War in Iraq
