View Full Version : Public ERB
"Hey, anybody seen where I parked my ERB?"
This NCO definitely wins the "670-1 Bumper Sticker Bingo" award.

I think this truck is a POSER..
I see Army & SEAL & Marine SSI/DUI pins & patches??
PLUS the rack ribbons are reversed??
Richard
Did you see this online??
Or while getting some vino for the new patio grand opening??
Sure would be nice to get a hi-rez and license number.. :D
Jim,
That's not a SEAL emblem - it's an Army engineer special brigade amphibious unit SSI. The guy's obviously a leg engineer of some type.

OK..
Are the two by the CAB Marine SSI??
OK..
Are the two by the CAB Marine SSI??
Yep. Notice their association with the 2nd ID SSI - I would assume he served as an engineer in the 2nd ID in one of the regions in A'stan where they were co-located with the Marine units - engineers in all branches of service get farmed out to all sorts of units.
No alarm bells for me on this guy's sticker collection - just wondering why would somebody do that to their vehicle.

Well, kudo's if he's earned them...however...not the way to keep off the proverbial "radar"...

Might be a good way to beat speeding tickets from sympathetic LEOs, though. ;)

The only thing missing on that truck, is this bumper sticker:
He'll need his Date of Last Physical to make it complete. :D
Good luck to him in selling that truck. He'll be working with Goo-Gone and a razor blade for a week.
Oh, I can make up a decal for that. Bent over with cheeks spread. :D

ahhh, lets not...

I used to have a Special Forces license plate on the front of my truck, well until someone stole it......

"Leg Engineer" when you say it like that it sounds so degrading. I think us leg engineers would rather be referred to as vertically challenged engineers.
When I sold my pickup I kept my personalized tail gate and it hangs proudly on my rec room wall right next to my graduation picture from AIT, you know the one with me wearing the red scarf.

I agree...LEG Engineers are just waiting on their Jump School date...Let's not be demeaning to the Sappers.
Y'all just jelly cause your recruiter told ya not everyone could be an Engineer!

Hunh - - it wasn't meant to be 'degrading' - just an observation regarding his "I love me" tailgate which indicates he's an SFC, SAPPER-qualified, non-airborne engineer veteran of Iraq and A'stan.
Next time I'll consider using "straight leg" - the original term meaning the pants legs of the soldier's dress uniform are not bloused into the jump boots of a paratrooper (parachutist qualified and assigned to an airborne unit such as the 307th "Injuneers" of the 82nd Abn Div).
Or maybe I'll go with the tried and true "dirty, nasty, lazy, stupid, pu$$y, sorry @$$ leg" like we used to say which is a more historically correct usage during my time in the service. Better?
FWIW - I was a 12B10 (MOS for a leg combat engineer below the rank of E-5 at the time) for six weeks until returning from holiday leave and completing the Basic Airborne Course to become a 12B1P (parachutist qualified combat engineer).
Let me know what's most PC acceptable with the "vertically challenged" thin-skinned engineer crowd these days and I'll consider using it in the future. Perhaps.
That wall you describe must invite a lot of quetions from visitors. ;)

A classic Richard response!
I am laughing so loud the guy from across the hall came over to see what was so funny...my responses was, "Don't worry about it, LEG!"
I fixed my original post lest anyone think I was serious.
Richard you are on a role tonight!
Damn, and here I was about to put all my group flashes on my Bronco. I even hit up 98G for a sticker of my RT Nebraska patch super-sized to show just how great I am. Of course, that will start a whole second amendment debate on why Nebraska has a CAR 15 on their state seal...
Oh well, time for another margarita...

Hmm, wondering if we should do that for our vehicle.
Wife's on one side, mine on the other.
Except for the US Paratrooper plate, think not.
She wouldn't go for it anyways.

There is a difference between being non-airborne qualified and being short.
"Vertically challenged" is a slur commonly applied by those oxygen deprived-altitudinally affected folks 6'5 +.
