View Full Version : RAPS ABOUT CUBA TRIP "Obama Said ‘You Gonna Get Me Impeached'"

Jay Z and his idiot wife go to Cuba (http://m.tmz.com/#Article/2013/04/11/jay-z-obama-cuba-rap-impeached-open-letter)

President Barack Obama told Jay-Z he was worried the rapper's controversial trip to Cuba would cost him the White House ... this according to Jay-Z.

Hova just released a new rap, in which he addresses all of the drama surrounding his trip to Cuba last week with his wife Beyonce.

In the song, titled "Open Letter," Jay says ..."Politicians never did s**t for me ... except lie to me, distort history.”

He continues, "Obama said chill ‘You gonna get me impeached' ... We don’t need this s**t anyway chill with me on the beach.'"

The implication based on the lyric -- that Obama did something shady in helping Jay-Z and Beyonce get into Cuba and he could be in political hot water as a result.

It's a pretty believable lyric, considering how close Jay is with B.O.

There's more -- "I can turn Havana to Atlanta ... ballin’ too much they try to jam you."

“I’m in Cuba, I love Cubans. This Communist talk is so confusing.”

I apologize moderators and members, JJ_BPK already created a thread about these idiots here (http://www.professionalsoldiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=41652) and I should have replyed to his thread rather than created a new one.

Or it could be that once Obama found out about the trip, after the fact, that he knew that there was going to be an uproar. Rightfully so.

But your suggestion that the POTUS had anything to do with this personally is laughable. I would go out and buy some more reynolds wrap if I was you.

Had anything to do with what? JayZ and Beyonce going to Cuba? Anybody can go to Cuba if they get the visit cleared with the Treasury Department as "educational". I'm sure the young couple visited a museum or something.

Obama has absolutely nothing to do with the Treasury Department's approval of a projected trip, I'm sure. Even if it's somebody he partays with at the White Crib.

Heck, he woulda been too busy! Probably right in the middle of penning that stellar budget at the time, anyway.

I'll give you the benefit of a doubt. I'm going to assume that you believe I am suggesting this position because I highlighted it, not because I wrote this article. You know I didn't write it right? I highlighted it because I found the suggestion plausible. It's pretty well known that the Carter's and the Obama's have a personal relationship, so to dismiss the idea that their relationship may have expedited the Carter couples ability to obtain the visiting right with Cuba is foolish.

Huh? This is as clear as mud.

I dismiss, out of hand, that the relationship these morons have with POTUS had anything at all to do with them getting visas to visit Cuba. Lots of people get them all the time with 'made up' educational reasons.

As Dusty said, he was probably too busy with other chores to bother calling up the Treasury Department to pave the way.

Oh, I doubt afchic thought you wrote the article, but I'll let her respond to that aspect. It is, however, very kind of you to give a longtime, respected member of this board 'the benefit of a doubt'. I'm sure she'll be reassured by that.

Jay Carney has come right out and assured everyone the POTUS had absolutely nothing to do with the Cuba trip, and he said the reason Jay Z used the terms he did was that nothing rhymes with "Treasury".

So, this issue is at rest. I mean, after all, when has Jay Carney ever tried to mislead the public?

Jay Z and his idiot wife go to Cuba (http://m.tmz.com/#Article/2013/04/11/jay-z-obama-cuba-rap-impeached-open-letter)This "idiot" couple has a net worth north of three quarters of a billion dollars.

How/why do motivated, hard working, entrepreneurial Americans qualify as "idiots" in your POV. Is it their politics? Their business practices? Their cultural practices? Or something else? (If that "something else" is celebrity access to a sitting president, perhaps the attachment may be of benefit to you. But I'm sure that was different.)

In that regard, we're talking about different sides of the same coin.

I think this "power couple" just went to Cuba to recruit for his new baseball effort:

I don't care for Beyonce because #1 her music sucks and #2 she personally offended me and other Romney supporters after the election, when she tweeted something to the effect of "take that Mitches". Don't know about you, but anyone who calls me any form of the word bitch can go frack herself.

You've never taken the Universal Studio tour, have you?
Of course not, it's in Kalifornication-land.
You really should get out more, though. :D

Sigaba- I never said Jay Z was an idiot. His wife Beyonce is however. She can credit her talent and her father's business prowess for her success, not her intelligence. Since when did a persons monetary value make them intelligent? I think Jay Z is highly intelligent actually. He never writes lyrics down to any of his songs and that takes some kind of intelligence IMO.

Wonder if you would have replied to this thread had the OP said "Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert make a song about George Bush 'You Gonna Get Me Impeached'" Guess we'll never know.

I apologize for saying 'that I'll give you the benefit of a doubt.' Obviously you have good character and I should not have let my emotions get the best of me. I fight fire with fire and don't take kindly to someone telling me I ought to buy more alcoa stock because of something I posted.

I've read your opinions regarding the POTUS here before afchic, and though there are some things I might not agree with, I should not have disrespected you like that. I sincerely apologize.

My understanding is that President Reagan and Charlton Heston had worked together before.

Are you saying that the POTUS is a former co-worker of Jay-Z and Beyoncé?

Was that during the years he was supposed to be in college, while he was a community activist, or when he was voting "Present," in the Illinois State Legislature?

Both Heston and Reagen where President of the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) at different times. They were also very liberal/democratic in their thinking(s). Reagen switching over to the GOP back in the late 50's/early 60's, whereas Heston took a little bit longer. Heston switched to a conservative viewpoint in the early 80's and later campaigned for Reagen, Bush Sr. and Bush Jr.

Heston even felt there needed to be better Gun Control after RFK was killed in 68, and he also rallied AGAINST the war in VN. It wasn't until later on that he recanted his views.

My understanding is that President Reagan and Charlton Heston had worked together before.

Sir,
Couldn't find any reference that the two of them worked on any movie project(s) together, but they very well could have worked on something off camera or behind the scenes.

It's just been noted, that the two of them were close friends.

So, let me get this straight... the only 'evidence' that POTUS 'authorized' their trip to Cuba is contained in some rap song lyrics?

Has Mr. Z, his spouse, a spokesperson, or some 'confidential source' actually SAID that this (POTUS personal interference to get their approval) happened? Indictment by rap lyrics. What a world we live in ...

Not sure. But the POTUS did say that Benghazi was not a terrorist attack, but just a bunch of pissed off youtube fans. Right out. Point blank.

He also said that the sequester (which was his idea) would cause disabled children to suffer. (This was a few weeks before the Soul Train party which seemed to be unaffected by the sequester.)

So, for those reasons among others, I'll take rap lyrics at face value for the truth over any statement the POTUS makes.
