We did send for it and have not yet received it. But, in my opinion we didn't need it for this clown. ;)

I really disagree with

"The Supreme Court struck down the Stolen Valor Act last year, a ruling that says it's not illegal to pose as a military hero."

If that's the case, I'm really General Patton!:D

The depressing part about this story is reading the many comments on the KSL story with something like "why is this a big deal? why chase him with a news crew?". Is it becoming taboo to have a little respect for those who served/are serving, these days?

This man not only tried to hop on the "glory"* bandwagon of the Green Berets, but in the minds of people he met, he formed their vision what a Green Beret was.

I further don't understand that this guy appeared to have served several years in the military (presumably honorably in the Army) and that pride wasn't good enough for him?

* By glory, I mean the pride and sacrifice.

What most folks do not understand is that had Col kenny not been fed his own testicles he would have continued his charade forever. Take note that he promoted himself from Major to full bird Colonel. Had he done his homework and got his uniform and stories straight fewer and fewer would doubt his stories.

This is how these frauds start and as they progress they either step on their crank like Kenny and get caught/exposed, or they learn to become a world class bullshitter like Col Bill hillar.

Let's not forget "Col" Bill Hillar duped the FBI, DHS, FEMA etc etc etc These individuals can scam just about anyone, anyone but us.

And you "Green Beret" frauds that are reading this: every time we expose a GB fraud and it makes the news dozens of people write us and tell us about their father, cousin, boss, boyfriend, co-worker, martial arts instructor, fellow police officer, etc etc etc that is a "Green Beret". It's not a question of if we will expose you and make you "famous" it's more of a question of when.

If you don't think you'll ever get exposed just ask Donald Joseph Albares Jr. (http://www.professionalsoldiers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36926) what happened to him.

We are watching.

I agree. They were civilians with no military experience, and they just didn't get it.

That probably explains why so many people today pose.

How would they like it if someone was posing as a member of their immediate family....they have no context.
