Might be BS but its still real money and a start.
100 Senators and 435 Representatives might be nice if they did the same or at least got to work.

A 5 percent cut from the president's salary of $400,000 per year amounts to $1,667 per month. The move will be retroactive to March 1 — the day the cuts started to kick in — and will remain in effect for the rest of fiscal 2013

As CinC I think he should have shared the pain on the same level as DOD!!!
The 5 percent that he will hand back mirrors the 5 percent cut that domestic agencies took when the reductions went into effect. The Pentagon's budget took an 8 percent hit.

Great! I'll take it. I'm paying out of state tuition and the VA is behind on the benefits I transferred to BCMU.

I double their pay if they promised to never show up for work.

Wait a minute - that makes too much sense. Why didn't you suggest this five years ago? Hell - we could have saved approximately a trillion dollars a year.

How about 20% like DoD employees are facing?
"I mean, at some point you've made enough money."
Congress, put 'em on LWOP (all of 'em) for repeated failure to meet a core objective for which they were hired.
