I usually don't get much out of modern SNL skits, but this one is RIGHT in the wheelhouse of the folks on this forum.

Damnit ender, my keyboard is now swimming in coffee because of that one.
"Because now, thanks to technology and everyone being huge pussies about everything, it doesn’t matter if you have skills or training or years of experience. You can do it!”
"I tried, and therefore no one should criticize me."
"When we return I'll give out the award for best guest to all of our guests."
:D:rolleyes::D
There's more truth to this than meets the eye.....
Japanese men embrace their feminine side
I read this and a few other articles concerning the Japanese men becoming more feminine. Their population is plummeting and another article stated that the number of adult diapers being sold was much more than baby diapers. Also because of this male feminine thing less and less Japanese women were getting married.

I detect a note of bitterness.
There was a time when audio/video equipment and media distribution were expensive.
It took time, dedication, and talent to gain an audience.
Now reality TV stars can make more than well trained entertainers.
Also, equipment and the means of distribution enable those with talent and dedication to bypass the media monopoly and skip "paying their dues".
Price competition is fierce.
It's hard to beat free.
Entertainers don't like being reminded that they aren't actually important.

That's a REALLY good point.
When I think of celebrities/entertainers......I can't help but think of court jesters....who've been given the gift of vertically integrated radio/tv/film mass media distribution where their potential audience scales out to near infinity.
Now the traditional entertainment/celebrity development establishment/machine is being disrupted by court jester 2.0 with a webcam and a YouTube Channel.
Good......
I'm got YouTube running in the desktop background far more often than I have the radio or TV on anymore.

Don't have cable, but do have Internet-connected blu-rays / Netflix.
The 12 year old watches YouTube as much as anything else.
The 10, 7, and 5 year olds watch it some, too (heavily edited/supervised).
I'm a big fan of Devin Graham's work (he's from Utah and shoots stuff around here).
The 5 year old is enthralled by his stuff.
Big media is on its way out.
It is interesting that that current POTUS and other politicians are fascinated with being "jesters".
The synonym for jester seems quite appropriate.

I like the fact that TV is putting out some good quality shows. Lots of movie people moving to TV. also Netflix and HULU are starting to make their own programming. Hollywood should be afraid, very afraid.
