lol I had one of those belt buckle derringers that was rigged so you could push your gut out and it would pop out. I wore my Fanner Fifty rig everywhere until we transitioned into BB gun wars.
My dad used to drop me and my cousin off (starting when we were around 12 years of age) out near Desert, Texas for 2 weeks at a time with a canteen, a knife, a blanket, some matches and a .22 rifle each.
You won't see that happening much, anymore, either.
