View Full Version : Report: Chiefs to Hire ex-Eagles Boss Reid
Now, we'll get somewhere-as long as he doesn't adopt the "Let Charles run it for 3 downs, then punt." offensive strategy.

Kansas City, MO – The Kansas City Chiefs are on the verge of hiring former Philadelphia Eagles sideline boss Andy Reid to fill their vacant head coaching position.
Multiple outlets have reported that Reid, who was fired by the Eagles on Monday following a mostly successful 14-year tenure in Philadelphia, will agree to coach the Chiefs after undergoing an extensive interview with team owner Clark Hunt on Wednesday. An official announcement is expected to come at some point this week once the deal becomes finalized.

That is good news! {cheers all Broncos fans}
I quit watching the Chiefs after they let the Broncos come from way behind in the last 2 minutes to win the game....aside Stram and Shottenheimer the Chiefs have not done well with their coaches.
For Clark Hunt's sake I hope this guy meets expectations.
Kept Carl Peterson around way too long. Need to get rid of GM Pioli NOW

Supposedly, Reid will answer to the owner, only.
That cuts out a lotta dead weight.

Romeo already has a gig. Application was approved for a hot dog vending permit in New Jersey.

With the current governor of NJ, hot dog vending could be a very profitable undertaking.:D

Yeah. He'll rake in bucks and rack up about the same number of touchdowns his team scored in '12.

Done! Pioli is gone. I think Reid is an upgrade too. I quit pulling for them when they benched Gannon for Elvis in The playoffs. I was hopeful when they canned Peterson but not a lot of success. Its too bad. Arrowhead used to be a great enviornment. Empty seats kind of kills the energy though.

It'll get better. Can't get much worse.

Very true these words you speak Dusty.
The prize for such a year is The 1st pick of The draft. So he's got that goin for him.
I had a couple chances to go to watch a game this season. Didnt make it. Hopefully next year I can hit a couple.

Unfortunately Dusty it can get worse. As a Philly native I grew tired of the "making the playoffs is progress" approach by Reid. Get ready for multiple crappy draft picks (usually linemen, or trading down for more late round picks...for more linemen and also-ran linebackers). Yes he drafted McNabb; then tried to make him into something he was not: a drop back passer.
On that note your offense will be pass first, pass last, pass pass pass...oh and screens galore. Charles might see 15 runs a game at best. Annnd you will loathe his clock management!
Kansas City you have been warned. :munchin
