Law on liability insurance eyed for gun owners

Hoping to get beyond the debate over new gun-control laws, a group of economists and legal scholars is floating another plan they say could cut down on spree shootings: require all gun owners to carry liability insurance, similar to what automobile owners must have.

And to get car insurance you are required to show proof of ownership for each car.......registration.....and to maintain your registration with the state you will be required to show proof of insurance on a yearly basis.

Just another attempt to get a record of everyone who owns a gun. We can;t go the way of smokers.
1. You could only smoke in certain parts of a restaurant.
2. Then smokers were moved to the Bar.
3. Then smokers were moved outside
4. Now some cities don't let you smoke outside.
5. People who smoke are looked down upon more then Dads who don't raise their kids "Adam Corolla"
