Hillary Clinton hospitalized with blood clot
By By MATTHEW LEE | Associated Press – 30 mins ago
WASHINGTON (AP) — Secretary of State Hillary Rodham Clinton has been admitted to a New York hospital after the discovery of a blood clot stemming from the concussion she sustained earlier this month.
Clinton spokesman Philippe Reines says her doctors discovered the clot during a follow-up exam Sunday. Reines says Clinton is being treated with anti-coagulants.
Clinton was admitted to New York-Presbyterian Hospital so doctors can monitor the medication over the next 48 hours.
Reines says doctors will continue to assess Clinton's condition, "including other issues associated with her concussion."
How can she run for president in 2016 now?

Has brain damage stopped anyone from being President yet??:D
Oh by 2016 (really 2015) most Americans will have no recollection of Benghazi and her role! We will all be singing "Hail to the Chief"

Clots are not associated with ambulatory concussions......the two aren't related unless she was bed bound or has an underlying cancer, taking birth control pills, travels long distances without exercising her legs, had extremity or pelvis trauma. Very likely unrelated for her but the media must carry on as the ignorant sensationalism chatterbox that they have become........

Equally as plausible as a blood clot stemming from a concussion caused by dizziness from the flu.

Was wondering about that, Sir. Thank you for the clinical definition.
The big o was quoted yesterday as saying that his administration was, "Not going to be defensive about Benghazi," but was going to bring to justice those accountable etc...and some such other bs about communication failures blah blah blah....:boohoo:rolleyes:
Rediculous. I mean own it for crying out loud, there are 4 dead Americans here.

The long running cartoon called Family Circus has an interesting character that pops up from time to time. It is usually when a parent says who broke this or who didn't put this away... The cartoon shows a new child-like character labeled "Not Me" running around.
It is this "Not Me" character I think of most often when I see the One speaking on this and so many other issues.
Life (stress, age, diet, genetics) does strange things to our bodies.
The Fourth Estate often gets things not quite correct.
A blood clot affecting her stability may have precipitated her fall and was only discovered after a post-concussion exam.
Personally, I would leave the tinfoil speculation alone and wish her well - being SecState in these times and for this administration is a job I would not want, and I suspect she could use some rest from it all.

Yeah, that sniper fire she came under when she exited her helicopter in a war zone probably contributed to the stress that led to her blood clot from the concussion from the fall from the dizziness from the flu, and nothing to do with a Benghazi coverup, right?

Problem with a politically expedient fable like the Sarajevo claim is - like the tale of Peter and the Wolf - that once someone goes down that path and is caught, nobody will ever fully believe them again, even when there may be a genuinely serious issue involving them later. Such is the case in point.

Agreed. In her case, the sniper claim is a drop in the bucket.

Wasn't that after she and Slick Willie testified in Congress that they had no recollection of key events, but before they recovered their memories sufficiently to write their memoirs?
Frankly, I'd like to see she and her husband take a permanent retirement and never appear in public again. The American people could use the break.

The question I have is, they're just NOW finding this.
I would think they would do a complete MRI of her skull after her fall and "head bonking"?
Maybe this is what we have to look forward to when "Obamacare" goes into effect.

Doctors confirm Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's clot is on her brain
Doctors have now revealed the location of Sec. of State Clinton's blood clot. "This is a clot in the vein that is situated in the space between the brain and the skull behind the right ear. It did not result in a stroke, or neurological damage."
Secretary of State Hillary Clinton's doctors have confirmed that she is battling a blood clot on her brain, as opposed to one in her leg as some medical experts had speculated.
"In the course of a routine follow-up MRI on Sunday, the scan revealed that a right transverse sinus venous thrombosis had formed," said Dr. Lisa Bardack and Dr. Gigi El-Bayoumi in a statement released by the State Department. "This is a clot in the vein that is situated in the space between the brain and the skull behind the right ear. It did not result in a stroke, or neurological damage."
The statement went on to say that her medical team is using blood thinners to dissolve the clot and that she is making "excellent progress." They also expressed confidence she will make a "full recovery."
"She is in good spirits, engaging with her doctors, her family, and her staff," the statement said.
Clots form when blood pools and thickens, and they can break off and travel through the body.
Earlier, Dr. David Langer, a neurosurgeon at North Shore Long Island Jewish Medical Center, had expressed skepticism that Clinton would have a clot on her brain.
“I would really be surprised if she had a blood clot in one of the venous sinus,” Langer said, explaining that would usually occur in someone, unlike Clinton, who had suffered a skull fracture.
The more common clot, found in the legs, is called a deep vein thrombosis, Langer said. That clot can occur from lying down for extended periods while recuperating.
Dr. Eugene Flamm, chairman of the Department of Neurological Surgery, had agreed that Clinton’s clot was likely in her leg and developed during bed rest after her concussion
