BTDT and have big scars as proof.
BMT
I can see that. MRE's, chow hall food options (especially while deployed), and CPR's (Care Package Rations) probably aren't conducive to good health. While I was deployed, I ate primarily the fastest things to grab 'n go, so I probably need to get checked out. Also, quite a few people got sick after eating at the salad bars (I know, we had it rough :D) so I never got back on that particular horse. Add that to the "healthier" stuff i.e., fish/chicken usually tasting pretty awful, it deterred myself and a lot of other people from choosing those meals.
So it is 1 in 12 now and in Vietnam and Korea it was 8 in 12 according to the article? I say that based on the thin info in the article we are headed the right direction verses the wrong. Am I missing something? Also, they don't mention the rate in the civilian world which I have to imagine is higher than 9%.
