Bill after you manage attachments, browse for it and locate the file, are you using the "Upload" key?
The attachment should appear in the Attach Files box below your post.

Make sure that you are checking the upload box after attempting to acquire the file to ensure that there are no error messages.
Call me and I will walk you through it.

I'll try one more time.
I go to manage attachments, browse and then select a file by clicking on it and then hitting "open".
Then I click on upload and get "fuck you Cannot Find Server This Page Cannot Be Displayed" over and over again. I have no problems sending these pics via attached files in an email.

SP51C, Great picture! Congratulations on the graduation.
I've been working on a knife for something kinda important today so I haven't bugged you guys anymore about this.
I think Kyobanim nailed it. I even went to my security settings to make sure nothing there seemed to be restricting me.
AM and TR, I was just testing to see how to send an image from here. Since I got the good tri-pod, the quality of my pics has gone way up. duuuuh.
I'll try one more time, (no bad words this time...) Won't do it, same as before. Don't you guys tell any girls about this.

Yes that was the test image I was trying to upload.
This is about as frustrating as it gets. It's like you dial a phone no. and it works fine so I dial the same no. using the same equipment and it wouldn't work if my life depended on it. Doing math now to add up how much all this equipment costs including DSL and will add this in to how happy this makes me.

AM, Was my file too big? If so that still doesn't explain the complete disconnect between my computer and this program when attempting an upload. screw this crap, I've got work to accomplish in the shop. Thanks for your help folks.
Ambush Master
10-25-2004, 08:22
OK, here goes the explanation,(I tried to call you but there was no answer,)
The letters on the left are the viable file types referred to as File Extensions ie .gif, .jpe, etc. Next is the Max File Size ie 1,048,576 bytes. Next is the Max Width 800 Pixels and Max Height 600 Pixels. That is all you need to be concerned with. If your picture's file size is beyond that limit or it is bigger than 800X600, the upload will fail.
I'll talk atchya later.

As to the connection to server/error white out screen showing up:
Bill... mine does that to me sometimes too. It usually still puts the post with pic on the board though. I end up with double posts sometimes because of it. Not sure why it does it... I'm no help in that regard. Good luck

trying one more time... AMBUSH MASTER!!! CHECK THIS OUT!!! IT WORKS!!! THANKYOU!!! :lifter
oh yeah, the pic is the pre weld set-up on my new tilt table knuckle for the big belt grinder. That's two and one half inch OD Shelby seamless tubing, one half inch wall thickness. Note the tapered micarta wedges at the right end to keep the parts to be welded together. That's a custom harsey built brass hammer with African Bubinga handle for light tapping jobs. Note greenery, this is my outddor welding table. I can put the fires out easier outside.

Bill had a File/Image Size problem and did not have any utilities to re-size his Pics. In talking with him he mentioned that he had Windows XP, so I went to the MS website and found a Resizing Utility. I sent him the Link & he downloaded it !! Now he can resize away !!!

Ambush Master called, assured me he had the training and experience to work with people of an eight year old mentality. He then found the Windows Image Resizer download, emailed me the link and helped me click on buttons until that appeared on my machine.
Now when I right click an image, I have the option to resize it. Image Resizer re-sizes it to "medium" (600 by 800 pixels), automatically generates a new "medium" file of the same image without changing the original picture and the result is posted here. :lifter still lifting...

Thanks Guy, I'll remember that.
Hopefully here's the finished weld, done with 1/8th inch 7018 low hydrogen welding rod at about 175 amps. Note the turned brass bushing still fits, it had .002" ( two thousandths of an inch) before the weld. Joint was designed to minimize warping.

Here's the nearly finished tilt table in front of my main belt grinder, also a Harsey Built machine. That's a two horse motor, 4 speed with the 10 inch dia. contact wheel in front.
This is the grinder I do all my blade grinding on, without any table on the front to date. I have special project coming up that needs the fine adjustable angle table.
I have down loaded it several times; first I could not find it, then I could not get anything but the Read Me txt to open. Is there help out there? I have a few interesting RVN shots from IV Corps, maybe one or two of steely-eyed killers.
