Let the problems begin! :)
I can not stand McCain but go for it........
It's too bad McCain did not go after Obama four years ago, not that the election would have turned out any differently but it would have been nice to see some of that fire back then. I too am not a fan of McCain.
You wanna roll Johnny boy...
Oooh I bet McCain is ascared of him.
Obama could nominate Assad from Sryia as SecOState and I doubt McCain & Co could do much to stop it!
But maybe the GOP will find a pair over this, over something.

And he'd probably do a better job than Kerry or Rice.

Is that the 2008 narrative now? McCain lost because ho didn't try hard enough?
Next you'll tell me McCain was part of a "plan" to get Gov Romney some good exposure but not have to deal with the economic and war legacy of the previous eight Republican years. And, who knows -- maybe things might improve a tad (even a blind pig will find a truffle once in awhile). But, after we run the Dim down for four long years we bring out Gov Romney and he wins by a landslide!
Oh crap, that WAS the plan!
If this keeps up I may never get to vote for a Republican again! And 1980 through 1992 were very happy years for me.
I'm with the majority on this one, at least. Bring it and let's see where the chips fall.
I will give some credit to the normally meek and mild Lindsey Graham. When Obama suggested that those with a problem should go after him. Graham did so almost immediately:

While I can understand a president standing up for one of his people, I do wish the current president had found a way to express that support in a less confrontational way. Something along the lines of "I am fully confident that Ambassador Rice will answer satisfactorily any reasonable question put before her in a fair hearing."
(And where would things be if the White House had just made sure that everyone was on the same page IRT talking about Benghazi. "We're still gathering information about the attacks so at this time we're going to ask for the patience of the American people.")

He's a thug and thugs don't talk like that. Well, unless they're reading from a teleprompter. ;)
Pat
He's a thug and thugs don't talk like that. IMO, he's neither a bad ass nor even a guy with a bad attitude.
He's a guy who campaigned for a job because he wanted the job even though he was not ready for the job that he wanted. (In his most private moments, I wonder what the president now thinks of all the times he said of Bush the Younger "I could do a better job than THAT guy.")
My $0.02.
But Senate Majority Leader Harry M. Reid (D-Nev.) said Wednesday that he would not bring the senators’ resolution up for a vote. And Senate Intelligence Committee Chairman Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.) also said Wednesday that she wouldn’t support establishing a select committee: “We’re doing our inquiry, that’s already underway.”
Apparently, steriod use in professional baseball is much more important to investigate than the failure to ensure the safety of the President's personal representative in a foreign country.
In his remarks, Obama also denied that the military or CIA held back any assets or effort in attempts to rescue the Americans under attack. “My orders to my national security team were to do whatever we need to do to make sure they are safe,” Obama said.
The wheels on the bus go 'round and 'round...

If Obama didn't want Ambassador Rice's reputation impuned or her intelligence questioned, he shouldn't have sent her out unprepared or to lie for him. Big boy rules....

Few, if any, thugs are "bad ass".

I'd be willing to bet that he thinks he is the best thing to hit 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue since marble polish and white paint.
He simply does not come across as a man that posses enough humility to experience the type of self awareness or introspection that you are speaking of.
...maybe I am wrong.

Exactly.
He badly needs a 360 degree assessment, but even if he read it, he couldn't/wouldn't absorb it.
TR
Anyone notice how passionate he was to defend Rice?
Where was that passion when the bodies were on the tarmac? Where was that passion when he had to speak to the parents?
Plain and simple, he is a fucktard that will protect his own and not give a damn about you or me. He will always think he is better than W. There is zero humility in this muslim loving foreigner.
Just my $0.02.

Ha ha...
It would just help him confirm that those who did assessments are just a bunch of jealous assholes...

Seems Senator McCain was channeling his inner "bad ass" today. For a "gonna get some Mr President" I would think he'd make a note that the hearings he calls for started today.
I shoulda gone to a public university. This doesn't have to be so difficult. Damn Jesuits!
For me this whole Ambassador Rice thing is going in the wrong direction. McCain, Graham and others need to focus on other things that are more inportant right now.
With people like Senate Dianne Feinstein back the lead for Intelligence Committee over the review of Bengahzi.. our "National Interest" are in GREAT Hands.
Wait.. GOD SAVE THE QUEEN
Gen P today said that he knew immediately that it was a terror attack and that the writeup's from them said so. He did not know where the changed UNCLAS talking points came from. If they said in the CIA report that it was a terror attack then why did the president and his minions keep the other line going....
Rice got a Political appended set of talking points. They need to dig and find who changed the talking points.
The Great O has no Honor or he would just say we screwed up and this is what happened. Hell he has 4 more so what can they do to him.....

But did State see the CIA report? okay when? These departments and agencies will go internal first and the share comes later and the integration and believe comes even later.
And look at the way State handled Cairo. A dust up over a movie worked pretty good . . . A dust up that got stolen by bad guys with an agenda is still holding water. I believe State wanted with all it's heart and soul for this not to be anything different or new.
I thought we had the NSA to make the call for the government.

We have J. Clapper at DNI and he thinks the Muslim Brotherhood is a community outreach group helping families struggle with religious intolerance.
I wouldn't be surprised if this is the source of "intelligence reports" given to the WH and DoS.

Just curious what influence either Rashad Hussain or Huma Abedin may have

If the President displayed that much passion for Ambassador Stevens, we might not be having this discussion.

To discount that there is a separate channel of sources that guide the sitting POTUS, facts be damned, would be a failure of the imagination.
I am amazed that people are amazed by the CIA's failure to predict or respond to this event. The CIA has a solid track record of such failures since 1947 which has cost us and many others a lot of embarassment and lives.
People are also publicly making a lot of harumphing noises over the recent trend toward a greater militarization of the CIA - I guess nobody has any inkling of how it came to be in the first place, and who led and populated its early cubbies.
As for the politics of it all...well, there's another shocker - NOT.
And so it goes...

You mean that "Covert Affairs" tv show with the Spybabe is mostly BS? I learned everything I know about the CIA from that. Damn, I'm disappointed. I thought the Company could have supergents on the ground in East Bumf**k in a matter of minutes if the poo hit the fan. They're that good!
Hey I have an idea! Why don't they assassinate Castro?

What about basketball?
According to a gentleman I know who was a comtemporary of McCain in Navy Aviation, there is a long line of ex Navy pilots and POW's who would love the chance to kick McCain's ass. He is not the only vet I have spoken to with POW and MIA buddies who detest McCain.
What about basketball?
Racist!
