Oh Joy - the traveling public is really up the creek without a paddle now.
"The nation’s 44,000 newly unionized airport screeners have ratified their first-ever collective bargaining agreement, giving them more say in what they wear on the job, the shifts they work and the time off they take, whether they can change from part-time to full-time work or back, their union announced today. .................."
They are such POS.... It is only going to get worse. I really love it everytime we lock some of them up........
Under their new collective bargaining agreement, Transportation Security Administration officers get to spend more taxpayer money on their uniforms every year than a United States Marine Corps lieutenant can spend in a lifetime.

Well they need the extra funds since they need more material. Have you seen how big many are. Had to watch some yesterday for about 4 hrs and I think only 2 were under 250.....

For one thing, ..., technical proficiency testing will still be mandatory as a job qualification, but it will no longer be part of the performance review process in determining pay.
"You could be an outstanding worker and a poor test taker and you could get a poor performance evaluation," she said.
Yeah, technical proficiency testing of TSA employees who are to operate technical machinery and devices (like x-rays machines, microwave backscatter imagers, explosive detectors) should not be a factor in determining pay.
After all, we can't expect TSA employees to be good test takers if their mission is to conduct tests all day.

The employee numbers of the TSA are about 44,000.
Hmm, that's about 3 Divisions worth of troops.
Wonder how many are at the IRS, BATF, FBI, etc, etc, etc.
The job of politicians is to create more good little voters on the government payroll.
What is the ratio of public vs private sector jobs in the US now? Are government contractors considered private or public sector jobs?
Can anyone in government spell "GREECE"?
