That's just effed up. So basically CAIR (an organization tied extremist Islamist organizations) and its associates can come into the DOD and dictate language or deem language inappropriate and ruin people's stellar careers (as per OERs)?

Dempsey needs to pull his nose out of the Commander in Chiefs and the Muslim's collective asses or he's going to wind up leaving it there when Romney is sworn in.

Lest we forget that Dempsey phoned a private citizen, Terry Jones, to rescind his support of the retarded Muhammed movie trailer that "started" the "riots" that killed our ambassador and 2 SEALs.

Speaking of retired General Wesley Clark... hows that hosting of military-themed reality shows gig going?

PC'ness strikes again!
Unless the course was taught one time, spontaneously, which I highly doubt.
LTC Dooley I'm sure put a good amount of effort and research into the syllabus.
To have the CJCS come down and order a negative OER over a particular groups feelings being hurt is a travesty.
Also, if the article is correct, the faculty guidelines state
“Academic Freedom at National Defense University is defined as freedom to pursue and express ideas, opinions, and issues germane to the University’s stated mission, free of limitations, restraints, or coercion by the University or external environment."
Sounds like an "external environment" made noise that wouldn't be ignored given the sensitivity of subject matter, and the prevailing attitude of the administration.
