Aaron passed away on Monday after stepping on a mine in Afghanistan on Sunday. He was one of the finest soldiers I had the privilege to serve with. May we meet again in Valhalla, brother.

Damn, lost contact with Aaron. Went through Echo course and we were on the same Sage team. I remember him singing the National Anthem on the last day of Sage while we stood at attention with our dirty faces and BDUs, before our G's killed us. Awesome guy.

For anyone who didn't have the privilege of knowing Aaron, he was one of the best men that I have ever known. He was always the one who brought the positive attitude to a shitty situation, and in turn, always made everyone's day just a little bit better.
You will be missed, 5211 will always have you in our hearts.

Pain. Because we have lost one of the greatest Soldiers, Green Berets, and HUMAN BEINGS you could have ever known. Because none of us who knew him will have the pleasure of having a conversation with him over a beer or in the hallway at the Company. Because his family will have to go on with only the memories of a hero that they called Brother, or Son, or Uncle.
Joy. Because I did know him; and know him still. Because the memories of this Green Beret, this friend, are greater than the anguish that we all feel. It was a joy to know Aaron.
God bless this Fighting Soldier from the sky. God bless his amazing family.

It has been a while since I have been on our fine site since I am playing in the Stan. I had the honor and privilege of being Aaron's TM LDR. I also had the honor and privilege on being on that mission with him. Aaron amazed me with his outstanding courage and even though he had a broken body, he still was ensuring his guys were okay, TM guys and FID guys, echoing my commands up until he got on the bird. I will miss our conversations Brother. Are Green Beret has met his fate. He has died for those oppressed. Strength and Honor. De Oppresso Liber.
Rest in Peace, my thoughts and prayers are with your family and Brothers.
