And is anyone surprised?
The PowerPoint slides probably don't change at his briefings either.

I'm picturing a Clint Eastwood type talking to an empty chair in the oval office...;)

What part of daily intelligence meetings do you not understand?

Haqqani network... might be good, might be bad
US Veterans... might be bad, might be good
Pakistan... hates us, lets give them a billion dollars
Israel... they love us, fuck Israel

Now...
If these are the type of policy discussions your cabinet and key policy advisory team members are working on, would any of YOU be hitting all of the briefings?

I wouldn't. I'd be out playing golf, or hitting on biker chicks.

Thats why HE is the POTUS and you are not. Some guys know how to delegate authority, some guys don't.

all you guys are just hating haters who hate. He is focused, like a laser, every day on jobs for the American people. He must be....he said so.

As TR said, he thinks he already knows everything and the only thing those damn meetings do is contradict that, thus, don't go and don't be contradicted. :munchin

Is that not an Oxymoron “Obama & Intel”

This is another one of those "Who has a dawg is in the fight" stories.

I seem to recall back when Bush was going out to his Ranch the left slammed him for being out of touch to which the right replied along the lines of he never travels alone and has key people around him - plus all that modern electronic communications stuff.

If you don't get upset when your guy does it don't get upset when the other guy does it.

PS - Although I do feel the President may be a little detached from the "operations" side of things.

Pete, I do believe that President Bush still listened to his daily reports at his ranch. Obama is just blowing them off.

You mean he is focused like a laser on keeping himself employed at the taxpayers' expense in his current job.

I was fortunate to see copies of the President's Daily Brief way back when I worked in the Pentagon and every day it was different. And if a President is not asking live analysts questions about their findings, their assumptions, their probabilities, etc . on the different Daily Brief, I personally consider that derelik in one's duty because many American lives and much American treasure is at stake depending on daily assessments of our national security.

Boy, the things this POTUS gets away with.

I don't have stats one way or the other about his days at the ranch, but he was known for never missing them at the White House. The comparison of percentages is not even close between the two. I was flabbergasted when I heard yesterday how often POTUS misses those briefs.

I guess I'll just have to throw up more and more often till this President is booted on November 6.
