DOJ Targeted Public Library for Lending E-Books 'Inaccessible' to the Blind

http://cnsnews.com/news/article/doj-targeted-public-library-lending-e-books-inaccessible-blind

"(CNSNews.com) – The U.S. Justice Department says it has reached a settlement with the Sacramento (California) Public Library over a trial program the library was conducting that let patrons borrow Barnes and Noble NOOK e-book readers.........."

Under this "idea" the DOJ could force just about anything on anybody.

That is some stupid crap! I can't believe they spent taxpayer money to investigate that. One of these days, they may come up with an e-reader that can convert a book to voice but that is no reason to remove the program for everybody!

Ok is if I go to e library and check out a Braille book I can complain and file a law suit.

Why not file a suit that they do not have a one for one copy of every book for the blind.

This is so stupid...... But then it was California.....
