The fun part of this is that Duffelblog is fooling people into thinking things like this are true. I've seen a few people take these stories as gospel, only to later find out it's satire.
Really enforces "Take nothing for granted. Always double check."

I broke this out at Charlie Mikes today, and the response was, well, as you might expect. One upset patron began to read it aloud to the rest of the bar, and quickly got mad when he realized it was a joke.
I had to buy beer just to cool him down, but the reaction was priceless.

A recent satirical article on an internet blog called Duffleblog reported that President Obama was receiving an honorary membership in the Special Forces Association, this is not true, I do not find where the author of this article finds humor in his work, but I do not. Few honorary berets have been awarded they have gone to individuals have provided great support to our Regiment, Maggie, the Duke, Ross Perot, people who stood and have stood with the Regiment in good times and bad, and who have honored the Regiment with their support and contributions.

I have known Col. Tobin for :boohoo30 years. He's gettin' grief from guys that should know better.
The WeaponsMan (http://weaponsman.com/) has nailed the reason for the denial on the head.
Another reason for his lack of humor.
"If I could get my hands on the weasel that did this, this would be his hardest day, for there would be no tomorrows, he has possibly screwed up a helluva lot of things for SFA and the Community. I have just spent twenty minutes explaining to a retired GO, who happens to control millions of dollars that could be used to support the SF community, that it is BS, if anyone knows these clowns, tell them their prank may have really hurt some deserving individuals."

Wonder if obama will take this seriously? I can see the guy expecting to get official document signed by the Executive Sec. I'm mean, it's all about him anyways, isn't it?
