Man Killed Attempting Bigfoot Hoax
Trooper: Montana Man Hidden In Foliage-Camouflaged Suit Hit By Cars On Darkened Highway
KALISPELL, Mont. -- Authorities say a man who was trying to pull a Bigfoot hoax on a darkened Montana highway was struck by two cars and killed.
The Montana Highway Patrol said the man was wearing a camouflaged, military-style "Ghillie" suit, designed to resemble thick foliage, Sunday night as he stood on U.S. Highway 93 south of Kalispell.
The man was hit by the first vehicle as he stood on the roadway. Then a second vehicle hit him as he lay on the roadway, said State Trooper Jim Schneider.
Flathead County officials identified the man as 44-year-old Randy Lee Tenley of Kalispell.
Schneider told Daily InterLake.com that troopers learned of Tenley's Bigfoot prank when they interviewed his friends, who were waiting nearby when the stunt turned tragic.
"He was trying to make people think he was Sasquatch, so people would call in a Sasquatch sighting," Schneider said told the news website. "You can’t make it up. I haven’t seen or heard of anything like this before."
"Ghillie" suits are worn by military snipers and hunters to blend in with surrounding grass or plants. Suits sold on the Internet can offer a hairy, Bigfoot-like appearance.
"Obviously, his suit made it difficult for people to see him," Schneider said. “Alcohol may have been a factor." *Gee, Ya Think ???
The trooper said Tenley was struck by vehicles driven by two girls, ages 15 and 17, who were unable to stop in time on the dark highway.

I do feel sorry for the two girls. To have to live with some idiots stupidity like that. I hope it doesn't affect them too much.
