There's a new website up and running:

Now separating Heroes and Villains!
www.pownetwork.org
www.fakewarriors.org

FAKE WARRIORS
http://youtu.be/1e6azS7o2c0

They go after ALL the military fakes and frauds. (Professionalsoldiers.com only goes after the "Green Beret" fakes and frauds.)

I can remember when nobody wanted to impersonate a military person. Even John Kerry didn't want to impersonate a military person.

I kinda almost liked those days better, but maybe that's because I was in my late 20's!:D

That's about your best shot for impersonators in the 60's, hippies in fatigues and traitors in NVA air defense helmets.

Well, it is a bit hard to prove given that there was no social media back then, but they were out there. I lived in Tucson after I got out and I met a few in bars. Being a college town with a lot of vets using their GI Bennies to go to school, I suspect that some of the impostors went to war protests to pick up chicks then, empty handed, tried to macho-up at the bars. And then there were the panhandlers claiming that they were VN vets. One guy I do remember because he had an AF fatigue shirt (with 2 stripes, whatever that is) and a 1st Cav patch on his pocket.

When I moved to L.A. in '76, they were everywhere and all of them were in combat with the infantry (that includes real vets, too). It seems that I'm the only 11B that WAS NOT in Viet Nam. I guess that they were full-up. :D

In the early '80s, my widowed mom was wooed by a real-life-honest-to-god O6 MOH awardee. Well, he was until I showed up for dinner one night. That was the last time she heard from him. He didn't seem to know much about the Army. ;)

I think now, they just have a wider audience and their lies are captured, possibly, forever.

Don't get me started. She should've done 20 years in the Federal Pen. Seriously. I'm sick of hearing libs make excuses for her. What she did was no different than if some celebrity had gone to hang with the AQ/Taliban after 9/11. Or if Betty Grable had gone to Nazi Germany at the height of the war and sat at an 88 that had shot down B-17 crews.

You and Richard are of course right. There have always been wannabes who try to impersonate for social acceptance, financial gain, respect etc. My comment was meant to be a bit sardonic.

Sure say what you want about the "FAKE Warriors" but remember some of the things they do provide for us: Entertainment! You could not write some of the stuff they say or do as military frauds. ;)

You have to lick it first or it won't stick.

So I was just messing around on youtube and getting a good laugh from Don Shipley's recent video and I don't even know what I typed in but I somehow stumbled upon this video on youtube. The story is on a supposed SF Veteran. Here is the description:

"A Documentary chronicling the experiences of a United States Army Special Forces veteran. As told by himself and his peers at Saint Mary's College of California.

Thank you to all the Men and Women who have served the United States proudly, and those who gave the ultimate sacrifice in the pursuit of freedom.

And thank you to all who helped me create this."

This is where you can find the video.

Obviously the guy talking about his experiences is a fake. You can find out for yourself.

I remember those days ... 1970 - 1974 ... I came back from the Canal Zone in '73 and still remember the strange looks I got wearing my Class A with beret. It was still "hippie" time and if you were in the Army or Marines, you were considered "baby killers" ... because the communists were running the media ....

She (Ono) is still not as bad as Jane Fonda. I'd like to hang her for treason (and if, perchance, someone finds her hanging from the rafters, I'm the prime suspect!).

Listening to him speak, it sounds like hes telling a story, not an experience.
