Just wondering if any of you Gents in the Fayettenam area have ever caught a Swamp Dawgs baseball game? It's Coastal Plains League collegiate baseball. My son played for the Morehead City Marlins this summer and had a great time, up there in my old stompin ground.

Hell yeah!!
I can't really be accused of being anything like a sports fan, but my friends and I spend many nights this summer on the beer deck at the Swamp Dawgs games. Dollar beers, dollar hamburgers/hotdogs, free popcorn and peanuts; What's not to like? $5 admission, $6 entry fee for beer deck, for about $20 a reasonable person can have a helluva time! Their 4th of July fireworks display was pretty awesome as well.

My son's team played the Dawgs 5 or 6 times this summer. He was the shortstop & leadoff hitter for Morehead. I caught his last two home games last week & it was dollar beer night so I was lovin life. Blue Moon & Yeungling on tap, Italian sausage...
Last time I was in Morehead it was coming home from an MEU--

The Swamp Dawgs and the Fireantz are a reasonably priced, good time. Besides, unless you want to drive to Raleigh/ Durham, there's not any baseball or hockey any closer.
