I have been training for a few months without running, because of my injury. I ran 5 miles one night without stretching and woke up with an aching knee. For a few days after that night, my knee would lock up on me randomly. But anyway, I went to get it x-rayed and the doctor told me that the bone in my left knee never fully grew, so the top corner of my knee is cartilage instead of bone. So when I put stress on it my ligaments pull on the weaker cartilage and as a result, a little knot comes up on my knee. I ran distance in highschool (2 years ago) So i dont think its my body giving up on me. I just didnt strecth and I started off with a 5 mile run when I hadnt worked out very much at all. I feel that if my physical therapy helps get m y knee back to normal and I gradually return to running distance and I work on my knee, I can get where I need to be physically. Have you all in the Spec ops community come across this? My biggest concern is that it will prevent me from service.

As for now my pt is:
pushups:66
situps:85
pull ups: 15
