Yeah, I believe it.
Next year we'll have mandatory online gay pride training, and each military base will be tasked to support their local gay pride parades with personnel, floats, and mod demos.
Thank God I am retiring.

Me too! What the hell is the world coming to? I have gay friends, but they generally don't feel the need to act out about it at work....
I'm not familiar with US Military uniform regulations, but how does this compare with other similar situations/events?
Would the authorized wear of US Military uniforms at these activities be reasonably viewed as an exception?

Until recently ..........
Actually, because secdef opened his suckhole, they carved out a narrow exception authorizing this participation but only for the San Diego parade. The authorization came out two days prior to the event.
and NO, you can't do anything similar in uniform for other entities: just GLBT event(s).
aren't election years great???
This issue is becoming an avalanche, an exception here an exception there. Remember the old saying about giving a person an inch and them taking a mile? Why people have to be so in your face about there sexual preferences is beyond me.

I'll believe this when the Pentagon hosts a Lesbian/Gay/Bisexual/Transgender ceremony complete with color guard...
Oh wait, they already did

Would the authorized wear of US Military uniforms at these activities be reasonably viewed as an exception?Military can already be present in uniform at a variety of events. (Mix & match snippets of uniform items mixed with civvies depicted in the photo definitely not.)
The primary litmus tests are a) does the activity bring discredit upon the service? and/or b) does it give the appearance of taking a side in a partisan political issue?
This is a fait accompli, not a political issue.
The list of things that bring discredit upon the service has apparently gotten shorter in recent times.
I can't wait for the terabytes of scenario-based tolerance-training Version 2 to make its way to a nearby PPT repository.
