Well, first off I don't let my grass or property get that far out of code.............
But with that said the worker better be damn glad he didn't do that with some of the members of this board.
"A woman got the shock of her life when she woke up to find a stranger in her bedroom, yelling at her to wake up because her grass was too long.
Erica Masters was asleep when Columbia County Code Compliance Officer Jimmy Vowell entered her Martinez, Georgia, home without permission to serve a violation notice for her overgrown lawn...................."
He must have dreams about becoming a TSA agent.
My answer would've been a Mossberg 500 shorty door gun.
You don't need to see all that well to be effective. WTF.

What a goof!
I see it now, Momma calls cousin and says "Little Jimmy got fired from his last job and needs a new one". Cousin says "Sure he can be the lawn compliance officer, how much trouble could he get into doing that?"
Guess we know.

He'd have been dead at my house and the county would get the bill for the clean up. What a self important ass.
The mere fact he was willing to go that far in this instance indicates to me that he would be more than willing to cross the line in many other ways.

It would be interesting to know if these two have a history or if he's had other incidents prior to this. If he has, he's lucky to be alive. Bad things can happen to a person walking into another's home without permission.

Sure would be.
Depending on the neighborhood, he's either dumb or has a death wish.

BTW I have a mossberg 590 he would have met at my house.
Can a Mossberg Maverick 88 play?
ETA: Then again, as TS says, locked doors save lives.
Columbia County Administrator Scott Johnson says the investigation could be finished as early as Monday. He also says Vowell use to work at the Richmond County Sheriff's Office.
In 2004, he resigned from the Richmond County Sheriff's Office after he admitted that he took a computer from the property room.
Erica says, "Jimmy Vowell needs to stop getting government jobs. Our tax dollars are paying for a guy that is going beyond the law. He thinks he's above the law and I don't think that's right. I don't think my tax dollars should go to somebody that thinks he's above the law."
AJC update: (http://www.ajc.com/news/code-enforcement-officer-fired-1475784.html)
Vowell, who first denied he'd entered Master's home, was fired Monday over the incident.
He must have dreams about becoming a TSA agent.
I think Pete is on to something.

We wouldn't even be discussing this if he tried that at my house.....:lifter
