This is really great news.

However, I was kinda chapped about missing this event since both my folks are Korean War vets (Mom was a nurse). We were down there for the SF anniversary and nothing was mentioned about the event until I bumped into an older gentleman that night who told me all about it, making a point that not too many folks from the association were there to participate. I had even taken the folks down to the museum the day before and there had been no announcement or anything concerning this event that was going to be held the next day. Oh well.

"May this memorial stand as a landmark," Jeon said. "May this be a hallmark of a friendship forged in blood and standing firm for more than 60 years."Pretty much says it.

Thanks for posting.

That's the problem with covert units - it's in their DNA.

On Friday, some 60 years later, Army Unit 8240 and its Korean counterparts were honored with a memorial stone at the Airborne & Special Operations Museum.

Congratulations to the warriors on Unit 8240..
