Now we know the Dodgers secret this season! :D

Richard :munchin

Bea Cohen, who at 102 is the oldest living female World War II veteran in California, throws out the ceremonial first pitch before the Dodgers and Angels meet in an interleague baseball game at Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles Tuesday, June 12, 2012. When she was 4 years old Cohen saw the start of World War I when her hometown in Romania was bombed. Her family immigrated to the U.S., where she went to work for Douglas Aircraft during World War II, but left Douglas to join the Army.

Well, he hasn't been to Ranger School, yet.

Mighty slick looking left breast pocket flap.

Have to wonder about the validity of the argument that women have to attend Ranger School to be able to compete against men in Infantry assignments.

Awesome event, we all know you could sit down with her for a month and not get tired. There is a VAMC in town. Once in awhile I'll go over just to lend a set of hands in wheeling some long-term gents down to a service or for some event, like a Memorial Day vintage car show or something. I did it one time, and got hooked because I've NEVER failed to enjoy a couple hours of conversation stemming from what started out to be a 10 minute wheelchair ride.

She looks pretty spry to me. ;) (and yeah, my grand-daughter throws better than that guy with the lopsided blouse)
