Clueless aid workers encouraged by clueless save the world parents; why not Kenya, India, or some other desperate land. They choose Afghanistan for an adventure. I wonder how many lives they put at risk to save their sorry asses.

Not quite.

Ms. Helen Johnston, Ms. Moragwa Oirere, and two Afghan civilians were kidnapped on May 22, 2012, in Badakhshan province, Afghanistan. Ms. Johnston and her colleagues are employees of Medair, a humanitarian non-governmental organization based near Lausanne, Switzerland.

The Medair team was abducted when visiting relief nutrition, hygiene and health project sites in Badakhshan province. The team consisted of British national Helen Johnston, age 28, Kenyan national Moragwa Oirere, age 26, and two local Afghan staff.
