In June 1956 Buddy Holly, Jerry Allison and Sonny Curtis were sitting in a
Texas theater watching John Wayne in The Searchers. Duke's famous
quote of "That'll Be The Day" inspired Buddy, Jerry and Norman Petty to
write and record the hit single you see below. They recorded and
released that single only eight months after they saw the film.

I goggled Duke pictures and it popped up. I have several pics of the Duke in Tay Ninh on Nui Ba Den, A324. I'm pretty sure it's a good pic..
