When I was in Fayetteville earlier this week, I met Barbara and was able to help her put up a few of the pictures on the crosses of some of our Brothers. There will be a candlelight vigil on Sunday at 8pm at that church. It's a great thing she is doing and I made sure to thank her and give her a big hug.

If you're in Fayetteville, stop by - it's near the Rim Rd and Cliffdale intersection. If not, have a meaningful Memorial day weekend however you choose to spend it.

To my Brothers, I miss you guys and I try to live a life worthy of your sacrifice. See you on the other side.

God be with those who have stood up where others would not. Peace be with you and those who gave all. It's an admirable gesture that you were there. Prayers sent.

God Bless,Rest in Peace Warriors.....:(

They were just simple soldiers and their ranks are growing thin
But their presence should remind us; we may need their likes again,
For when countries are in conflict, then we find the soldier's part
Is to clean up all the troubles that the politicians start.
If we cannot do them honor while they're here to hear the praise,
Then at least let's give them homage at the ending of their days.......:(

Perhaps just a simple headline in the paper that might say:
OUR COUNTRY IS IN MOURNING, FOR A SOLDIER DIED TODAY. (author unknown)

The passing of our soldiers often go unnoticed and unsung by most of the world, remembered only by family and friends. Wish it were not so. May they RIP, their families will be in my thoughts and prayers.........:(

I realize it's a Canadian song, however I believe most appropriate for this occasion..:(
