"Egyptians are voting in their first free presidential election, 15 months after ousting Hosni Mubarak in the Arab Spring uprising.
Fifty million people are eligible to vote, and large queues have formed at some polling stations.................."
A number of candidates and to avoid a runoff the leader needs to get 50%.
If not it goes to a runoff June 16 & 17.
I think the top vote getter is going to be an Islamist and somebody else - but both below 50%. In the runoff the Islamist is going to cream the other guy.
Egypt elections: Counting begins in some polling stations

"Counting has begun at some polling stations after two days of voting in Egypt's first free elections.
Only a small fraction of results from individual polling stations have been announced so far.
At a news briefing, the Muslim Brotherhood claimed that its candidate, Mohammed Mursi, was leading, based on the party's own estimates......................."
My guess - still - Mursi gets the most votes but has to go to a run off with somebody else. In the run off Mursi walks away with it.
Welcome to the new world.
A story on the Voting
"Egypt fizzing with rumours after landmark poll"
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-18200381
"Even before the polls had closed at the end of the second day of the first round of the presidential elections, Egypt was fizzing with rumours about who had won and who had lost.
When we told election officials at one provincial polling station we visited that we had heard that the two Islamist candidates were neck-and-neck miles ahead of the rest of the field, they immediately countered with another rumour......."
Gotta' love rumors.
.....My guess - still - Mursi gets the most votes but has to go to a run off with somebody else. In the run off Mursi walks away with it.......
Well, looks like I got the first part right

"....Next month's run-off will be between candidates from the Muslim Brotherhood and the Mubarak-era regime.
The Brotherhood candidate, Mohammed Mursi, has a slight lead on former Prime Minister Ahmed Shafiq, with a reported 25.3% of votes against 24.9%............."

Anyone want to bet against me on the second have? Thanks, but I'm into that whole "living within my means" thing.
Shafiq hopefully has his exile home paid up and located on some other continent. As you point out elsewhere Mali & Tunisia appear to be losing property value; there goes the neigborhood.
